Black Velvet : You're from Sweden. What do you think of the Rock Scene there right now? Dregen: Over here there are a lot of good bands....but it's going f**king great for B.B.. I think there's gonna be a big Swedish-band-boom.
BV: Have you ever played outside Sweden? If so, where? How was that? D: Before we have been in Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland and Greece....but now we're going on a 3 month tour over Europe....it's gonna be wild beware!
BV: What are your musical influences? D: Wow....Everything...Here's some bands! Sex Pistols, New York Dolls, Iggy Pop, Kiss, Hanoi Rocks, Danzig, Velvet Underground... the list goes on!!
BV: What did you do the first time you found your CD at a record store and saw your clip on MTV? D: I said 'MOM!!! Did you see that?'...(ha ha) Honestly, I don't care so much about it but of course it's a lot of fun.
BV: Tell us about each member of Backyard Babies and yourself. D: Well, that's a hard one... But I can tell you what everybody does right now 22/8/94 11:40pm (because we all live in the same house now...) Peder - Playing Nintendo, Nicke - Looking at Star Wars on video, Johan - Drinking a beer and reading comics, Me - Well, smoking a cigarette and answering a lot of letters... like this.
BV: If you were not a member of Backyard Babies, but a fan, how would you describe Backyard Babies to your friends? D: What a Motley Looking F**kin' Crue....
BV: What's the plan from this point? D: European tour... We have also signed a new record contract with Sony Music in Germany for 5 albums!!!
BV: Anything else you want to say? D: Buy the album Diesel & Power!! - so we can get some money to eat!!! (I'm starving!!)
BV: Thank you very much. D: No Problemo!
