PHIL X & THE DRILLS

There are two sides to most musicians – the one they show to the world, the character that comes to life on stage – and the one they are in private. Sometimes the person you see holding the microphone or guitar is completely different to the one grasping the remote control in the comfort of their own home. But that’s what makes them so endearing – their big smile and bright eyes as they bid to help you forget the troubles you had before you entered the venue – and the fact that, while they may have the same worries and struggles as you in the middle of the night when you or they can’t sleep, they still manage to put on the best show night after night after night, always giving you your money’s worth. Phil X is one such musician, who has honed his craft for years, standing out as a top-notch musician, oozing enthusiasm, positivity and excitement. But he too has had dark days, challenges and a quieter side that you may or may not expect.
