Ffirst introduction to Finnish rockers The Ras- WE
mus was their chart topper, 'In The Shadows', but
the truth is, this song came from a band who were
already established, having released their debut
full-length album, ‘Peep’, back in 1996. The band
is now rapidly approaching the 30th anniversary of
their debut album (the original members actually
formed in upper compre-
hensive school in 1994).
Their new album,
'Weirdo', their 11th stu-
dio album, no less, more
than proves that this is a
group who should spend
no time at all in the
shadows, but, rather,
should be basking in the
bright spotlight of the
stage. And 'Weirdo' is a
superb addition to their
expanding vault of
music.
