on Jovi fans rejoiced in October, when the New Jersey rock band announced
Ba round of shows for 2026 – the band’s first set of shows since frontman
Jon Bon Jovi had vocal surgery in 2022. It was a particularly delightful moment
for fans, some of whom had wondered whether they’d ever see their heroes tour
again. Initially, the announcement listed four New York shows at the renowned
Madison Square Garden, plus a show at London’s Wembley Stadium, one at Dublin’s
Croke Park and one at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium. Due to demand, extra
dates soon followed, which lead to what is currently, now, nine shows at Madison
Square Garden, and two more shows at Wembley. With the initial announcement,
Jon Bon Jovi flew to the UK, visiting both Dublin’s Croke Park and London’s Wem-
bley Stadium to greet UK and Irish press. Black Velvet was lucky enough to attend
a press conference at Wembley Stadium, hosted by Claire Sturgess, in which Jon
discussed his recovery from vocal surgery, the newly-released ‘Forever (Legendary
Edition)’ album, and sharing the light, with joy and gratitude.
