JADE & JOY VEGAN COLLAGEN

Jade & Joy’s Vegan Collagen bars piqued our curiosity when we stum-
bled across them in Holland & Barrett at £2 each. They come in four differ-
ent flavours - Marshmallow Biscuit, Cookie Crumb, Salted Caramel and
Caramel Blondie. We decided to try the first three, all of which tasted
yummy. The bars all have a decadent chocolate coating with a soft and
tasty inner. Of course, what interested us the most was the fact that the
bars are called Vegan Collagen bars. The bars claim to increase collagen
production, improve skin hydration, improve skin, hair and nails and have
added vitamins and minerals. Reading the ingredients, the collagen seems
quite minimal at 5%, so don’t expect to knock ten years off your face
overnight. The bars include hyaluronic acid, as well as various amino acids,
and other beneficial ingredients such as sea moss extract, copper, vitamin
C, vitamin E, iron and acerola cherry fruit juice extract. Each bar includes
15g of plant-based protein. As far as snacks go, these make a lovely treat.
