                                                                                                    The band has a working-
                                                                                                  class ethos. Their stage-wear
                                                                                                  includes matching work shirts
                                                                                                  with their names above the
                                                                                                  chest pocket. 'Dying Breed'
                                                                                                  also showcases that charac-
                                                                                                  teristic; it’s about how earning
                                                                                                  a living through hard graft
                                                                                                  seems to have gone out of
                                                                                                  fashion. 'Wrong Side Of The
                                                                                                  Track' has everyone singing
                                                                                                  along, while the tempo
                                                                                                  changes for the vicious warn-
                                                                                                  ing of ‘Money Where  Your
                                                                                                  Mouth Is’.
                                                                                                    Honestly, there are too
                                                                                                  many highlights to mention.
                                                                                                  With every song played,
                                                                                                  whether it be the hard-rocking
                                                                                                  numbers, or the more delicate
                                                                                                  moments like ‘By Now’ or
                                                                                                  ‘What I Know Now’, the en-
                                                                                                  ergy poured into the perfor-
                                                                                                  mance is on maximum and
                                                                                                  it’s captivating to watch. ‘Drink
                                                                                                  With My Friends’ generates
                                                                                                  another sing-along, as does a
                                                                                                  stunning rendition of Hinder’s
                                                                                                  ballad, ‘Lips Of An Angel’.
                                                                                                    The crowd are amped up
                                                                                                  once again with the extremely
                                                                                                  infectious ‘Bad Day To Be A
                                                                                                  Beer’. “Did we come here to
                                                                                                  party?” Healy yells.  The
                                                                                                  crowd holler and the band
                                                                                                  launch into ‘Son Of A’, a song
                                                                                                  fuelled with attitude and
                                                                                                  vigour. Healy delivers a heart-
                                                                                                  felt speech about how hard it
                                                                                                  is for the band to get over
                                                                                                  here to play shows, telling the
                                                                                                  crowd “You’ve made it worth it
                                                                                                  every time.” Not one for doing
                                                                                                  encores, the band announce
                                                                                                  they have just one more song
                                                                                                  left. Ending the night with the
                                                                                                  blistering ‘Home  Team’, if
                                                                                                  there’s an anthem for the
                                                                                                  working class, this is it.
                                                                                                    Lakeview  are  doing
                                                                                                  things differently and deliver-
                                                                                                  ing the goods; they will not be
                                                                                                  playing these small venues
                                                                                                  for long, that’s a fact.
