The band has a working-
class ethos. Their stage-wear
includes matching work shirts
with their names above the
chest pocket. 'Dying Breed'
also showcases that charac-
teristic; it’s about how earning
a living through hard graft
seems to have gone out of
fashion. 'Wrong Side Of The
Track' has everyone singing
along, while the tempo
changes for the vicious warn-
ing of ‘Money Where Your
Mouth Is’.
Honestly, there are too
many highlights to mention.
With every song played,
whether it be the hard-rocking
numbers, or the more delicate
moments like ‘By Now’ or
‘What I Know Now’, the en-
ergy poured into the perfor-
mance is on maximum and
it’s captivating to watch. ‘Drink
With My Friends’ generates
another sing-along, as does a
stunning rendition of Hinder’s
ballad, ‘Lips Of An Angel’.
The crowd are amped up
once again with the extremely
infectious ‘Bad Day To Be A
Beer’. “Did we come here to
party?” Healy yells. The
crowd holler and the band
launch into ‘Son Of A’, a song
fuelled with attitude and
vigour. Healy delivers a heart-
felt speech about how hard it
is for the band to get over
here to play shows, telling the
crowd “You’ve made it worth it
every time.” Not one for doing
encores, the band announce
they have just one more song
left. Ending the night with the
blistering ‘Home Team’, if
there’s an anthem for the
working class, this is it.
Lakeview are doing
things differently and deliver-
ing the goods; they will not be
playing these small venues
for long, that’s a fact.
